New DuPont Fortilife™ RO Elements for Ultra-High Brine Concentration Applications

DuPont has expanded its DuPont FilmTec™ Fortilife™ reverse osmosis portfolio with the launch of two new Low Salt Rejection Reverse Osmosis (LSRRO) elements: the FilmTec™ Fortilife™ XC220 and FilmTec™ Fortilife™ XC-Max UHP.

Designed for ultra-high brine concentration applications, these new elements support industries seeking more efficient solutions for wastewater minimisation, resource recovery and advanced water reuse.

Built with innovative purpose-designed polyamide membranes, both elements are engineered to handle highly concentrated reject streams and extend the operating range of reverse osmosis systems.

These new solutions are particularly suited for:

• Minimal Liquid Discharge (MLD) and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems
• Industrial brine recovery and valorisation
• Resource recovery applications
• Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) processes

​With these additions, DuPont now offers a membrane-based portfolio capable of concentrating brines up to 250 g/L NaCl, helping improve water recovery while enabling more efficient and compact system designs.

The new elements also help reduce energy consumption and operating costs, while offering greater flexibility for system designers and simplified operation for end users.
